  1. Participants

All VAS primary and secondary students

  1. Topic

“Spread the Kindness”. Capture acts of kindness in life through drawing, photographing, and writing activities.

Some suggestions for the content:

  • Helping others in daily life (helping old people to go across the streets, helping your friends when they fall, keep the environment clean, etc.)
  • Showing sincerity and kindness to others (comforting your friends when they are upset, giving compliments, sharing a positive message with someone…)
  • Doing charity projects (giving free meals to the poor, meeting the elderly in nursing homes, visiting children in orphanages, building new classrooms in remote areas…)
  1. General rules
  • Each student may participate by submitting unlimited entries to the organizer
  • The content must be linked to the theme, conveying the key message and feelings of kindness.
  • The participant has to title their work and provide basic personal information (name, date of birth, class)
  • Participant agree to grant the organizer all rights to share their work across VAS media, such as our website, Facebook page, newsletter, VAS calendar, or via mass media.
  • The participant has to ensure the copyright of their own drawings, photos and writings. The works should be originals which have not been used for any other contests.

Specific rules for each activity

 

Drawings

 

 Photos Writings
– Free drawing, hand drawing, with any colours, materials and paper sizes. – Photos must be in digital format (.jpeg or .jpg) with a resolution of 300dpi, the minimum size is 1Mb.

– Photos, which are not bordered, are either in color or in black and white

– Photos can be taken by any types of cameras

– Photos are not excessively edited with editing software

 –  Writing prose, poetry, notes, and letters, etc.

–  Writings may not exceed 400 words

– Writing must be in either Vietnamese or English

 

 

  1. Timeline and awards

There are two competition rounds – the elimination round and the final round. The elimination round is divided into 3 batches, with each batch lasting 2 months beginning in September 2018. The result of each batch will be announced after 10 days from the day each batch ends.

The results are only counted based on the number of reactions and shares on the VAS official fan page
